D-Link DES-108/V/E 8-Port Switch

The DES-108 8-port 10/100 Mbit/s switch is a 10/100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet switch with 8 ports, allowing you to set up a wired network quickly and easily. Connect the DES-108 to several computers to share files and folders with other users, or connect it to a router to share your internet connection.

The DES-108 8-port 10/100 Mbit/s switch features 10/100 Mbit/s ports with automatic speed detection (autosensing). This enables small workgroups to flexibly connect Ethernet and Fast Ethernet devices to one another in order to set up an integrated network. The ports detect the network speed and automatically negotiate between 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX, as well as between full- and half-duplex modes. This ensures the optimum transmission speed for every device connected to the network.
All ports on the DES-108 support automatic MDI/MDIX detection, meaning that crossover cables and uplink ports are no longer required. Each port can be connected directly to a server, hub, router or switch using a standard, non-crossed twisted-pair Ethernet cable. Furthermore, the DES-108’s Ethernet ports are located on the front panel for easy access and are fitted with two-colour LED indicators, enabling quick identification of the connection status.
