Der Mini-GBIC 100BaseFX Multimode Transceiver DEM-211 ist ausgestattet mit einem 100Mbit/s Fiber FX (LC-Duplex) Port. Er ist kompatibel zu den Standards IEEE 802.3u und SFP MSA, basierend auf Industriestandards. Die Kompatibilität zu anderen Geräten wird somit gewährleistet.Der DEM-211 bietet Performance und Flexibilität. Er unterstützt Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 200Mbit/s im Full Duplex Modus. Die maximale Entfernung beträgt 2 km.Darüber hinaus ist der Mini GBIC Transceiver Hot-Swappable fähig, wodurch er im laufenden Betrieb des Switches installiert oder entfernt werden kann. Der Switch ist in dieser Zeit weiterhin für alle anderen Benutzer verfügbar.
